Statewide Attendance Policy:

Consistent attendance is important for every student's success.  Colorado passed a policy clarifying attendance rules for public schools that went into effect during the 2009-10 school year.  Please click here to read Free Horizon Montessori's attendance policy overview.  Refer to the current Student and Parent Handbook for additional information regarding attendance.  Please note that the Pre-Arranged Absence Form should be submitted to your child's teacher at least three days but no more than one month prior to the planned absence.

Healthy Lunch & Snack Ideas:

Nutrition Makes a Difference in Learning

Eating nutritous meals and snacks helps children learn.  We've compiled a cookbook of sorts with easy recipes and ideas for healthy lunch and snack items.  This is a work in progress, so feel free to send additional healthy recipes to   Click here for the current recipe compilation.

Above & Beyond After School Enrichment Program:

About Our Above & Beyond After School Enrichment Program

Above & Beyond After School Enrichment Programs at Free Horizon Montessori provide an opportunity for local programs, artists, and teachers to provide students with expanded opportunities for growth and personal development.  All classes incorporate the basic tenets of Montessori philosophy: the creation of a safe, respectful atmosphere where students are encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace.

Above & Beyond After School Enrichment Programs operate separately from Free Horizon Montessori, and participation in them is optional.  Please note that age guidelines and pricing structures are firm.  All inquiries regarding program content, registration, etc., should be directed to to the program contact as listed on the registration form.

Jeffco Public Schools is committed to ensuring all eligible students, including those with disabilities, have an equal opportunity to participate in all non-academic and extracurricular programs and activities.  If your student requires an accommodation to participate in the program(s) described below, please contact our Building 504 Coordinator, Jami Boarman, at 303.231.9801 x233
